Commission

You’ll earn 30% of the monthly subscription fee for every merchant you refer — calculated from the gross amount we receive, before any platform or processing fees are deducted. Your commission is always based on the full price the merchant pays, not a reduced net figure.

If plan prices change or new plans are introduced for your referred merchants, you will receive the same 30% commission on their subscription revenue.

How It Works

Merchants who install AS Upsell & Cross-Sell start on the Free plan, which gives them full access to every feature - this greatly reduces risk of damaging relationships for you and referred merchants, since they only need to pay when they see real value.

You begin earning commission once a referred merchant upgrades to a paid subscription.

Payouts

• Payments are processed exclusively via direct bank transfer. Other methods might be available, subject to approval (e.g. PayPal).
• Once your affiliate account accumulates at least $25 USD in commissions, you’re eligible to request a payout.
• To receive your earnings, submit a payout request through your Mantle dashboard and email an invoice to partners@augmentumstudios.com.

Refunds

If a merchant’s subscription is refunded for any reason, the corresponding affiliate commission will not be payable and will be considered void.

Tracking

Once your application is approved, you’ll receive a unique referral link that directs merchants to AS Upsell & Cross-Sell on the Shopify App Store. Your link contains a referral ID so every merchant you send our way is accurately tracked and attributed to you.

A typical affiliate link looks like this:

Important: Only referrals made through your unique link will be tracked and qualify for commission. Manual referral claims submitted through Mantle will not be accepted.

Program Rules & Restrictions

To maintain fairness and protect the integrity of our affiliate program and brand, the following activities are strictly prohibited:

• Brand impersonation: Representing yourself as an employee, official representative, or authorized agent of Augmentum Studios — in sales outreach, support interactions, public communications, or any other context — is strictly forbidden.
• Unsolicited mass outreach: Purchasing contact lists and sending bulk marketing emails, mass direct messages on social media, messaging apps, forums, or any other channel is not permitted. This includes any form of spam or aggressive outreach that could negatively reflect on our brand.
• Unauthorized domain registration: Registering or using domain names that include “Augmentum Studios”, “AS Upsell”, or any direct variation of our brand name is not allowed.
• Brand bidding in paid advertising: Running paid ad campaigns (e.g. Google Ads, social media ads) that bid on “Augmentum Studios”, “AS Upsell & Cross-Sell”, or close variations is prohibited unless you have received explicit written approval.
• Coupon and deal aggregator sites: Affiliates may not publish, distribute, or promote affiliate links, discount codes, or offers through coupon, voucher, cashback, or deal aggregator websites unless explicitly approved by Augmentum Studios in writing.
• Self-referrals: Earning commission on your own app installations or subscriptions is considered fraudulent. Any such commissions will be reversed.
• Misleading or deceptive claims: Making false, exaggerated, or unsubstantiated claims about the app’s performance is strictly prohibited. This includes presenting results as guaranteed, promising specific revenue increases, or implying that merchants will achieve certain outcomes simply by installing the app. Any statements about performance must be truthful, clearly framed, and based on real experience or accurate information.
• Any activity that could damage our brand’s reputation or create a negative impression of Augmentum Studios or its products is grounds for immediate removal from the program.

Eligibility

We review every affiliate application carefully and approve partners who meet one or more of the following criteria:

• You are a Shopify merchant with relevant experience or an audience in the e-commerce space
• You provide Shopify-related services — such as store setup, theme customization, app development, store optimization, performance audits, or e-commerce consulting
• You run an online platform with consistent traffic — a blog, YouTube channel, social media presence, newsletter, or similar
• You have an active Shopify Partner account

These criteria help us build high-quality, mutually beneficial partnerships that serve both you and the merchants you refer.
